Meet a Canadian Egg Farm Family Video Video

http://www.virtualfarmtours.ca
A Canadian egg farmer talks about how he and his family enjoy farming and living in the country.

Transcript:

Adam -- Danielle and I were married three years ago and actually we got into egg farming at the same time. Eggs were the way that I wanted to go. I grew up on a farm for my whole life so I wanted to bring the same opportunities to my son as what I had. To make your own hours and be your own boss. But on the other hand you still have to manage your business the right way to make it profitable. And it's a nice clean environment. Danielle and Dylan and I are usually down here in the mornings and that's usually when we have our family time and we socialize around here actually the most. It's basically the same routine everyday seven days a week. We're third generation farmers and my parents and grandparents are still around the farm and Dylan someday will hopefully be interested in layers taking over as fourth generation. It's a way of life that we really like living.

It always ...
It always fascinates me to see these promotional videos by egg farmers. They never show the chickens inside the barn. The barn crammed with thousands of chickens in an airless, windowless barn. The chickens never breath fresh air or see sunlight. The family may think its a great life but the? chickens sure wouldn't agree.

your very lucky. I ...
your very lucky. I have lived in the city my whole life and I hate it. I wish I could move out in to the country but, my husband doesnt want to and our jobs are in the city. I hate waking up? each moring and seing my neighbours or another building being built. its so ugly. Do you have any problems with living on the farm in the winter.

Nice family? you ...
Nice family? you have. GOD BLESS
